Over the past year, I’ve streamlined my photography gear to just three cameras: the Fujifilm X100VI, the Fujifilm X100F, and an old Fujica film camera. The X100 series has been my go-to since its debut in 2010 (you can see 100 Photographs Captured with the X100 Series here).
I’ve returned to what initially drew me to the X100: simplicity. This series is compact, lightweight, and easily portable, making it a perfect companion for a full day of shooting, unlike bulkier multi-lens systems. Yet, despite its size, it offers impressive versatility and performance. Below are the essential accessories I recommend for the Fujifilm X100VI camera.. 1. Fujifilm X100V Leather Case
The Fujifilm leather case has long been a reliable companion to the X100 series, offering excellent protection. It’s particularly handy when hiking in rugged terrain, where your camera might be sharing space with other items in your bag that could potentially damage it. The case is available in black and brown for the X100S, T, and F models, but the X100V has received a redesign.
The X100V case now only comes in black and consists of two pieces. While I personally prefer the original design, I understand the updates, especially the inclusion of weather and dust sealing. I often use the half case for everyday outings. Both versions maintain exceptional quality and are highly recommended. Note: This case is designed for the Fujifilm X100V and is a 99% fit for the X100VI. {Ad).

2. Fujifilm X100VI Weather Sealing Kit
With the introduction of weather and dust sealing on the X100V, Fujifilm has made the camera even more versatile. To fully protect your camera, you’ll need the Fujifilm X100V weather sealing kit, which includes a lens adaptor that allows you to screw on a filter. The kit comes in two colors—silver or black—depending on your X100VI model. As a bonus, the filter adaptor gives you the flexibility to use other filters. Fujifilm X100VI Weather Sealing Kit. (Ad)
3. X100VI Lens Hood
A lens hood is an essential accessory, especially in bright daylight. Fortunately, you don’t necessarily need to invest in the official Fujifilm version. I’ve used affordable alternatives since the X100T, and they perform almost identically in terms of quality. Do note, the lens hood only works with the lens adaptor. If you’ve purchased the Fujifilm Weather Sealing Kit, you’re all set. Otherwise, there are plenty of budget-friendly options available on Amazon. This the Fujifilm X100VI Lens hood I use. (Ad)

4. Tiffen ProMist Filter
The Tiffen ProMist filter is a fun accessory I primarily use at night or during rainy weather. It has gained popularity recently, and for good reason—it delivers a beautiful, cinematic look reminiscent of CineStill film. If you’re after a unique, artistic effect in your images, this filter is a fantastic option. But remember, you’ll need the lens adaptor to use it. I keep my ProMist filter in its plastic case, so I can easily switch between it and the weather sealing filter as needed. 5. Lee Seven5 Filter System
Long exposure photography is a passion of mine, and while the Fujifilm X100 series is a fixed-lens camera, it’s still capable of capturing stunning long exposure shots. The image above of Derwentwater, for instance, was taken with my X100F carefully balanced on a rock. To achieve beautiful long exposure effects, I use the Lee Seven5 Filter system, which is perfect for situations with abundant light.
The setup includes the Big Stopper filter, the Lee Seven5 filter holder, and the Lee Seven5 X100 holder. Although this combination can be pricey, it’s far more manageable than dealing with screw-on ND filters. Finally, while not an accessory per se, the Fujifilm X100V and X100VI models feature USB-C charging. I always carry a small reserve battery pack for my phone, which doubles as a power source for my X100VI. This simple addition ensures that I never run out of power when I’m on the go.
In summary, the X100VI series offers an incredible blend of simplicity, portability, and versatility, and with the right accessories, you can elevate your photography even further. The Seven5 Big Stopper is my go to filter. (Ad).
